Who is J. Joseph Whelan?

J. Joseph Whelan is an International recognized presenter, Keynote speaker and educational consultant.

Joe has had the great fortune to teach at all grade levels.  He has taught at the elementary level, middle school level, high school level, college level and post graduate level.

Whelan is a former college professor and elementary principal.  While principal of Chambers Elementary School in East Cleveland, his school was nationally recognized twice by the U.S. Department of Education in 1986 and 1990.  This was the first all-minority school in the country to receive that award.  J. Joseph Whelan was Ohio’s Distinguished Principal in 1988.

   Joe,
   You spoke to the Lake & Geauga County (Ohio) Principal’s group last week. I just wanted to let you know I visited your website, and to say “thank you” for your reminders of the importance of differentiated instruction, because it is what is best for kids (not teachers).
